Rafter Bramberg

Bramberg am Wildkogel is a village in the upper Salzach Valley, set between the Hohe Tauern mountains to the south and the forested slopes of the Wildkogel massif to the north. The setting is open and clearly structured, with the valley floor, surrounding villages, and mountain terrain all closely connected. The area is shaped by outdoor movement across seasons. From Bramberg, paths and trails lead directly into alpine pastures and higher ground, making hiking and cycling part of daily life rather than a separate pursuit. The Hohe Tauern National Park forms a constant presence nearby, with wide valleys, high peaks, and long routes extending deep into protected mountain terrain. In winter, Bramberg forms part of the Wildkogel-Arena, a ski area known for its long, continuous descents and straightforward access from the village. Skiing here feels integrated into the landscape, with slopes and lifts following the natural lines of the mountain rather than dominating it.
